CULVER CITY, Calif. – In George Orwell’s classic story, 1984, Winston Smith hates his job. He rewrites history to serve the interests of the powerful.

It is set in a world with no privacy, where electronic screens create divisiveness and hatred for the “other.” Where truth is manipulated welcoming the world to “Big Brother.”

The play 1984 is now on stage at the Actors’ Gang Theater in Culver City. It stars Will McFadden and is directed by Oscar winner Tim Robbins.

McFadden and Robbins stopped by the studio to discuss their play.
